Wat Phra Mahathat famous for the Buddha head of sandstone embraced by the roots of a huge tree. A religious wonder; nobody knows how the head got embedded there. One of the theories is that a broken image could have been abandoned there after the Burmese attacked Ayuthaya and ransacked the Wats.
