Life@Infosys

.. . . an effort to go through the days to be able to latch onto that one opportunity to go "onsite", earn dollars (that's really fading as an incentive) and buy the assets in life. After this, most of the people who have any meaningful targets in their lives, start looking for jobs that actually pay meaningful salaries and not charitable donations!!. . .More. . .

From an American on the Infosys campus

All of this occurred during my Saturday morning journey into Mysore with a few colleagues. The sensory blend of sights, sounds, smells, tastes is just incredible. We walked around the area near Devraj Market and just wandered around . . . It was the most “authentic” experience I’ve had since I have arrived - Infosys’ campus is amazing, but it is an oasis of corporate serenity in the midst of a wild and beautiful country. . . Life on Mysore Infy campus

After the inital hiccups, time at Mysore flew by like anything and before we knew it, it was time to leave! I still miss the place, and everything associated with it! First salary, the optimum utilisation of the facilities at the employee care centre, the walks and cycle rides around the campus, the new friends made there . . .More. . .

SOFTEN: Infosys staffers' initiative

Not all poor people need be needy for the kind of clothes Mr Manjunath and friends wish to distribute – old jeans, branded shirts, skirt and tops, and salwaar-kameez. Handing them out at random to alms-seekers in front of temples may not be a good idea. . .More . . .

Developing an IT city

Will you move to Hubli? or Madurai? or even Mysore? Will you set up a branch of your company in any of these cities above? Companies are setting up offices in many of these cities today, but find the going tough. Unlike an Infosys which is really using its base in Mysore as a self sufficient campus - a siginficant number of employees live within- it is not easy to go to a place where there are no (or less) people. . .More. . .

The Narayana Murthy Row: What Would Tejaswi have Made of it?

“We have foreigners on board here and we didn’t wish to embarrass them while we sing the anthem.” I get a feeling Narayana Murthy would have regretted it the moment he uttered these words. . .More. . .

A look-in on Infy campus, Mysore

Bowling at 45 Rs per head, per game and the sight of Renu & Asshu bowling in the adjacent lane made it much more enjoying. Mayur kept on mentioning that concentration is the key to winning a ball game, but with too many distractions none of us were actually successful. . .We came out of the Infy campus by 3:00 and drove towards Kamath restaurant on Nanjangud road for lunch. . .More . . .
